Gentle Journey: as the name implies is a peaceful yet break- a -sweat practice intended to restore the body, mind and soul through purposeful breathing, meditation, stretching, basic warm up exercises that employ the use of light weights, and beginner yoga postures. With continued practice over time, the body, mind and soul will relax and be restored, and strength and flexibility will be attained.
Rest and Restore: as the name implies allows the practitioner to rest and restore their bodies by holding their postures for longer periods of time with the assistance of props such as blankets, blocks and bolsters. Our focus is on purposeful breathing and meditation which aids in our relaxation. A relaxed body will stretch more readily and gain flexibility over time.
The majority of the class is spent in reclining, seated and or kneeling postures. The postures are taken deeper as they are held longer allowing the body to reap all the benefits.
